Phillies Minor League Report: Aaron Nola suffers third loss of the season

Here's how the Phillies' minor league teams fared on Monday, May 25:

Lehigh Valley IronPigs – Triple A

The IronPigs' (18-27) game with the Gwinnett Braves was suspended in the second inning because of rain on Monday at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Lehigh Valley is scheduled to resume the game Tuesday.

Reading Fightin Phils – Double-A

The Fightin Phils (23-20) fell to the Portland Sea Dogs, 8-2, Monday at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine.

Starter Aaron Nola lost his third game of the season. Nola pitched five innings and allowed three runs on seven hits. Nola threw 93 pitches and struck out four batters.

Shortstop KC Serna went 3-for-4. First baseman Brock Stassi had one hit in four at bats.

Left fielder Cam Perkins went 1-for-4 with a solo home run.

Reading is back in action Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. The Fightin Phils are scheduled to begin a series in New Hampshire with the Fisher Cats.

Clearwater Threshers – Class A-Advanced

The Threshers (22-22) were off on Memorial Day.

Clearwater will take on the Fort Myers Miracle on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Lakewood BlueClaws – Class A

The BlueClaws (21-22) fell, 4-2, to the West Virginia Power on Monday at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood Township, N.J.

Starter Josh Taylor lost his second game of the season. Taylor allowed three runs on five hits in 5 ⅔ innings. Taylor struck out six and walked three batters.

Center fielder Carlos Tocci went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Tocci is hitting .351 on the season.

Right fielder Herlis Rodriguez had a pair of hits in four at bats.

The BlueClaws continue their series with the Power on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m.
