These guys are always the last ones to leave the station. The Nationals put 7 guys out there every day who have more power than Chase Utley and they have great pitching. They are like the 2007-08 Phillies, but with pitching. With their pitchers, the Nats won't have any long losing streaks, so if the Phillies don't get with it, they'll be left in the dust in the NL east.

The bright spot in all this is that the management and coaching of this team is being exposed for the sorry excuses that they are. Time for a change both on the field, in the dugout and in the front office.

The bright spot for the future is Galvis, hopefully Brown or Mayberry, Sebastian Valle, Gillies or James, and the young pitchers. In addition we will save 20 million next year when Blanton, Polanco and Contreras leave. And then we will save 15 million when Chase leaves the following year. That will allow us to resign Hamels, Victorino (if we want) Pence, and a third baseman as well.

Hamels is gone zubzub. There is no doubt about it. He'll get more money to go to a better team- Boston, Washington, LA, or New York. Why would he stay?

I don't have a good reason, JT, just hoping I guess. If he doesn't return we'll have an additional 15-20 Million to sign someone else or upgrade the bullpen. But pitching in't the problem anyway.

ZUB, Don't be intimidated by someone questioning you, your opinion is just as important as theirs. The Phillies will try to resign Cole if they can and I'm am just guessing the reason you want him back and are hopeful is because you are a fan and not a troll or flamer. When Cole resigns they will be back on here saying we payed him too much or gave him too many years or he is dumb for signing back with a declining team etc. Zub you have to learn there are nasty hateful people on here with no purpose than to upset Philly fans and draw attention to themselves. The biggest giveaway is they post the same point over and over, they are always negative and they attack any positive opinion. Keep the faith, baby keep the faith. Go Phils.

They won't win with this lineup. Why are you putting silly videos like this on the site? As for the Nationals, we'll see in the first series with the Phillies. It may not be pretty.

frustration will soon turn to Apathy ..let's hope Citibank fans start to stay home and the days of the 989th straight sellout are over......If you don't like it don't watch and don't come.....maybe the GM will get the message

Cardinals were something like 10 games out of the wild card spot on September 1st and yet still won the World Series and all you knuckleheads are panicking, the season is a couple weeks old and there are over 140 games left to play, give me a break.
