Anyone with half a baseball brain can look at this lineup and see a solid array of awful. Way to go Reuben Amoron.

Has anyone else noticed that while the pitcher is letting go of the ball...he is winding up (his bat is going backward) ? This is pathetic. I notice, but no one on the team does. Is that possible if they weren't completely pathetic? I give up. I am so tired of this BS it's a crime.

Chollie said he and GG are talking to him every day. That's probably a trick Charlie learned in Japan.

Ryan Howard is already in the midst of a 2 month setback, and he was expected to play in June or July, BEFORE the setback. There's a good chance Howard won't play at all in 2012.

the Nationals may be in first right now, but I wouldn't go as far as consider them one of the greats yet. I mean wow they beat teams like the Astros, Reds and Cubs. Lets wait until they have to head out west and play the better NL East teams.

Astros, THE worst, Reds worst hitting so far in all of BB, nad the Cubs who would be the worst if it wasn't for the Stros, add to that the start the year with their longest home stand of the year. They lost their closer and their pitching is unproven to say the least. They say that Strasburg will be shut down after 160 innings which happens in August. On paper and on the field are two different things and with 12 down and 150 to play it is a little early to jump on the Bandwagon. The best thing they have going is Lidge and Werth because they know how to do it but the worst thing they have is Werth and Lidge. Werth has been the catalyst so far and Lidge is filling in for Storen. Lidge holding up and Werth staying hot probably not realistic.

If you can recall way back to 2011, you would know you don't need to beat good teams to run away with the NL East. The Phillies played 25 games against eventual playoff teams and finished 12-13 in them, but ran away with the NL East. You just have to take care of business against the weaker teams. I don't think the Phillies played a playoff team yet-- maybe Miami-- yet they are still 5-7, so you can't dog the Nats for winning games.

This team is not making the playoffs at this point. When Howard comes back and if Utley comes back, they may already be in too deep of a hole.
