Kingery homers again, but Phillies lose to Twins

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Scott Kingery homered again but the Phillies lost, 4-3, to Minnesota during a breezy afternoon of hardcore Grapefruit League action at Spectrum Field.

Jeremy Hellickson and Mark Appel each allowed a solo home run. The Phillies mustered 11 hits, eight of them singles.

Kingery, a second base prospect, has been the most impressive player through the first week of spring exhibition games. Friday's homer was his second of the spring. He will start the season at double-A Reading.

The other offensive sparkplug Friday was Cesar Hernandez, who reached base three times from the leadoff spot. He stole a bag and scored a run.

The Phillies are 3-3-2 this spring.
