It's been a rainy morning in Philadelphia. But there's good news for Phillies fans: The rain and mist should clear by the team's home opener.

Tailgaters, though, could spend some time in the last of the showers if fans start their celebrations too much before the 4:05 p.m. game against the Kansas City Royals.

The National Weather Service says chances of rain are highest before 11 a.m. Then, cloudy skies should gradually become mostly sunny through the afternoon.

By 1 p.m., there's a less than 10 percent chance of rain, the weather service says.

A high temperature of about 60 degrees is expected.

Motorists should be aware of heavy traffic around Citizens Bank Park throughout the afternoon and evening for the expected sellout crowd.

Gates open at 1:35 p.m. And at 3:15 p.m., fans can line up on 10th Street to cheer on the team as the players head into the ballpark.

SEPTA is running extra service on the Broad Street Line today. Two extra express trips are scheduled for 2:56 p.m. and 3:06 p.m.

The sports express trains take fans to AT&T Station via a limited number of stops. The trains only stop at the Fern Rock Transportation Center, Olney Transporation Center, Erie, Girard, Spring Garden, Race-Vine, City Hall and Walnut-Locust stations.

Oh boy, lets put on our replica jerseys and go down to the ballpark and spend $20.00 to park and sit in our expensive seats and eat and drink overpriced food and make chikie and pete's more money and watch a baseball game while our girlfriends, wives or kids sit there and text or follow facebook on there phones and dont even watch the game.

Did you honestly think your post was so brilliant that you had to post the same comment on two separate blogs?

trailer, sounds like you might be a little jealous of people that can afford a ticket to a game. I'm taking the train and subway to the game, relatively cheap and I paid $70 for two tickets. drink a few beers, yes overpriced, but that is called capitalism. not going to chickies and petes, but maybe i'll grab a $7 sandwich. my fiance will be there right next to me, watching the game and we won't take our phones out once. please leave your stereotypes out. some of us enjoy getting out and paying a little money for some entertainment. learn to save your money and budget, if you have a job, and maybe you can start enjoying the finer little things in life. seriously, $130 for a day out once a month or every two months isn't something most employed people can't swing. fully employed couples can do it more then once every 2 months as well. start thinking.

i hope that's not the case, but maybe you're right. if its something you enjoy then you cut back in other areas. idk, but don't try to ruin other peoples' good time.

I agree with one thing trailer says: It is obnoxious when women or kids -- or men, for that matter -- come to the ballgame in order to text. Baseball is fun to watch, but it's serious fun, and demands one's attention. People who go to the ballpark just to futz around dishonor the game, and I think we should honor a game that's been around for going on two centuries and has engaged millions upon millions of Americans over the generations. If somebody doesn't want to actually watch the game, they should stay home.

IF YOU WANT TO HONOR THE WORLD MOST BORING GAME, AT LEAST SEE A REAL TEAM IN A REAL STADIUM (TRY CAMDEN YARDS) INSTEAD OF THE HORRIBLE TEAM AND THE HALF ASSED STADIUM HERE. Concrete jungle in the middle of a parking lot.

YOU GOT CALLED OUT ---YOU GOT RIPPED OFF. If I wanted to take my life in my hands to go to a game in the country's most crime ridden pit on the worst urinal transit around to see the worst team in the league, as of yesterday i could have paid $10 for a ticket on the 3rd base line, $15 for one over the cage. Also, for the rest of you morons, they gave away many many tickets so they could pretend to have a sellout. Crapaphillies crapadelphia GO NATIONALS!!!! GO ORIOLES!!!!! GO PIRATES!!!!! GO TAMPA BAY!!!!
