CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Domonic Brown crushed a home run over the batter's eye in centerfield and Tommy Joseph followed with a two-run shot as the Phillies rallied against New York's bullpen for a 4-3 victory Tuesday.

Brown's second home run of the spring was a no-doubt shot in the seventh inning that sailed well beyond the 401-foot sign, barely causing the Yankees outfielders to move.

Joseph followed with a two-run shot toward the tiki bar in left field to help the Phillies earn their first victory this spring.

The late offense came against Yankees minor leaguer Zach Nuding and put a band-aide on the Phillies' early offensive struggles.

A day after scoring just one run against Detroit, the Phillies struggled to get runners on early, gathering just two hits through the first six innings Tuesday.

Ryan Howard's single to center in the fourth inning was their first hit until Kevin Frandsen doubled home Jimmy Rollins in the sixth inning to tie the score at 1-1.

Frandsen started in place of Chase Utley, who was pulled just before the start of the game because of wet field conditions. The skies cleared shortly before opening pitch and there were no weather delays.

Kyle Kendrick made his spring debut against, fittingly, a watered-down Yankees lineup that did not include injured starters Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and Curtis Granderson.

Kendrick gave up three hits and one earned run in two innings.

Ichiro Suzuki singled with one out, stole second and scored on Mark Teixeira's double down the right field line to put the Phillies in an early 1-0 hole.

Kendrick recorded his lone strikeout in the second inning before giving way to the Phillies' bullpen.

J.R. Murphy hit a two-run homer off Phillies reliever Zach Miner in the top of the seventh before the Phillies rallied in the bottom half.

Jeremy Horst got the final three outs for his first save.

Lefty John Lannan is scheduled to start for the Phillies on Wednesday's road game against Minnesota.

Is this finally Domonic Brown’s time?
Yes, as long as he stays healthy.
    No. It’s only spring training.
