Phillies announce 2012 schedule
The Phillies will open the 2012 regular season at Pittsburgh on Thursday, April 5 and close in Washington on Oct. 3, according to the tentative schedule released today.
The home opener will take place on Monday, April 9 at 1:05 p.m. against the newly named Miami Marlins at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies host the Washington Nationals for their final regular season home series on Sept. 25-27.
In interleague play, the Phillies host Boston (May 18-20) and Tampa (June 22-24) and travel to Baltimore, Minnesota and Toronto for a road trip from June 8-17.
As has been a tradition since Citizens Bank Park opened in 2004, the Phillies will hold an On-Deck Series prior to the season opener on April 2 and 3 against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Six-Pack tickets will go on sale in late November. Individual tickets will be offered in mid-February.

I guess they'll forfeit all of the games scheduled for April 2012. Any reason why the won't show up until May 5? Wilhelm Von Humboldt

Why no Yankees, again...they are the closest American League team to Philly. frank105
You know those games at Camden Yards will feel like Phillies home games. Shame for such a great stadium to be wasted on such a terrible team. JettMartinez
once again in 2012 Phils have to play Houston in September, as Astros' only raison d'etre is to beat the Phillies late in year in annual commemoration of the years 2003 -2006 when Phils would compete for wild card until they got beat by Astros, and as an annual reminder that Amaro could have kept Myers and Happ and wouldnt have had to waste money and prospects to obtain 2 effective months of a geneally washed-up Oswalt warbiscuit- May 18, 2012, Wakefield v Jamie Moyer. What is more likely to break 80? A fastball, their combined age, or the temperature?
Nothing says "washed up" quite like going 7-1 in the regular season and 8-2 overall. Without Oswalt the Phillies don't make the playoffs last year. And LOL at the prospect of keeping Myers & Happ, neither of whom would crack the starting staff as currently comprised. Jerome99RIP
Why the AL East again? Sure would be nice to play the AL Central once in a while. ahathaway
Jerome, that was word perfect. Thank you. Nutburgers
The on deck series isn't a tradition, it's a blatent NFL style rip off of fans with season ticket packages, making them buy a exhibition game. jimmymack
jerome --actuallly Myers was much better than Oswalt in 2010 when both played for same bad team and I mentioned that Oswalt did have 2 effective months (in 2010 --though of course he still lost the nlcs) -- --but they would have had an even more effective starter last yr had they kept Myers who had an excellent 2010 season --and in 2011 Oswalt has been the definition of mediocre and a loser (7-9 for a team 40+games pver .500) while Happ, despite his awful 2011, has a much brighter future than Oswalt warbiscuit

I hate interleague play and especially the sham of "natural rivals". Geez...again we play the same teams in the same venues! stanbro
and I dont consider 2010 a successful season; with Myers Phils went to WS and won it ...and Myers was the Phils best and most consistent pitcher down the stretch in Aug-Sept 2008 when he shut down Brewers and Mets in crucial games, and despite his awful 2011 season Myers was terrific in 2010 and still showed in 2 games against Phils this yr that when motivated he can compete with the best --as for Oswalt even when he's "good" he gives up loads of baserunners, is in constant trouble, and barely gets through the 6th inning --let's see what Happ does over next 10 years... I could care less that Oswalt was good in 2005 --and his ultimately legacy is losing the 2010 nlcs and being the only losing starter in 2011 warbiscuit
Why bother with Interleague play when we're always playing the AL East? Isn't the point of Interleague play to rotate through all of the AL every year? Meaning AL East this year, AL Central next year, AL West the following, and back to the AL East? drjk888
