CLEARWATER, Fla. – The scheduled game between the Philadelphia Phillies and a split-squad from the Baltimore Orioles was canceled because of inclement weather Monday.

Heavy rains were hitting the Clearwater area and a tornado watch was issued for Pinellas County and several other counties throughout the state of Florida that ran until 11 p.m.

Kyle Kendrick had been scheduled to make his third Grapefruit League start on Monday.

The Phillies have an off day Tuesday and Roberto Hernandez is scheduled to throw Wednesday when the Phillies travel to face the Toronto Blue Jays.
