Philadelphia Phillies crushed by Minnesota Twins, 12-5, in Grapefruit League game

FORT MYERS, Fla – The Phillies longest road trip so far of spring training ended with a 12-5 loss Wednesday afternoon to the Minnesota Twins at Hammond Stadium.

The Phils jumped off to a 2-0 lead in the first but the Twins used 17 hits and three Phillie errors to easily wrap up the Grapefruit League game, dropping the Phillies to 1-3-1.

Phils rightfielder Domonic Brown continued his hot hitting, reaching base four times. He had a double, two walks and reached on an error. 

Starting pitcher John Lannan allowed one run in two innings. The losing pitcher was lefty Adam Morgan, who relieved Lannan in the third and gave up four run.
