Nutter announces drawing for World Series tickets

Mayor Nutter this afternoon announced he was giving away two World Series tickets for each of the home games in an Internet drawing to be held Tuesday.

Inquirer Staff report:

Mayor Nutter this afternoon announced he was giving away two World Series tickets for each of the home games in an Internet drawing to be held Tuesday.

And these tix aren't in the nose bleed seats, they're in the mayor's skybox at Citizens Bank Park.

"I want to give everyone an opportunity to watch the reigning World Champion Philadelphia win a second title," Nutter said. "Send me an e-mail, and you just might end up cheering for the Phils alongside me in the Mayor's Box."

The mayor held a similar drawing last year that required entrants answer the question, "What is Shane Victorino's favorite food." (The answer: Spam).

There is no question involved in this year's drawing.

Nutter made the announcement at a City Hall rally for the Phillies that featured former Phils catcher Darren Daulton and the Phillie Phanatic.

To enter, send an e-mail to phillymayor@gmail.com with your name, phone number, and address by 5 p.m. Tuesday. Winners will be randomly selected and notified Wednesday, Nutter said.

City employees are ineligible to enter.
