Catching Up With Chooch

Although he won't be getting on base until at least April 28 (due to his 25-game suspension for using Adderall, a banned substance), it's a pretty good bet that Carlos Ruiz will do so quite frequently once he returns to real games. In the meantime, the Panama native will have to make do with rounding the bases in the Florida sun of the Grapefruit League.

Over the last three seasons, Ruiz has the seventh highest on-base percentage (. 388) among the 162 major league players with at least 1,300 plate appearances.
