Phillies single-game tickets start today, online only

No sales by phone or at the ballpark until Friday because of the snowstorm.

The sale of tickets to individual Phillies games was set to start at 8:30 this morning, but because of the snowstorm, the only way to get them today is online at Phillies.com.

Fans are advised to look for a "snowstorm offer" at the website, according to the club.

Tickets will available for every game, including the home opener, scheduled for 3:05 p.m. on April 7, against the Milwaukee Brewers.

In years past, fans showed up at the ballpark to buy them and take part in a bit of hoopla with the Phanatic and ballgirls, with the Majestic Clubhouse Store open for business and offering free food and beverages.

Fans could also phone in orders the first day in the past.

Not this year, with a snow emergency declared for Philadelphia.

On Friday sales will resume by phone  (215-463-1000) and at the ticket windows on the west side of Citizens Bank Park. The store will be open, offering a "mystery discount" of 20 to 75 percent, a chance to be photographed with the 1980 and 2008 World Series trophies, and a free continental breakfast, with the Phanatic in attendance.

Typically the games most in demand are Opening Day (April 7), the fireworks games (June 26 and June 27), the celebrations of Mother's Day (May 4) and Father's Day (June 15), the figure giveaways (Cliff Lee action figure on June 1, Chase Utley bobblehead on June 10, Roy Halladay bobblehead on Aug. 8, Ryan Howard bobblehead on Aug. 19), and Fan Appreciation Day (Sept. 28).

The popular Dollar Dog Nights are April 14, April 29, May 5, May 26 and June 23.

The Phillies website has a rundown of all the promotions and giveaways, plus a page that lists theme nights and discounts (for students, military, seniors and nurses).
