The IronPigs (57-65) will travel for a four-game series with the Columbus Clippers. Righty Jeff Manship (0-0, 7.11 ERA) is slated to start the opener on Monday.

Reading Fightin Phils – Double A

The FIghtin Phils were routed by the Altoona Curve, 13-2, at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, Pa.

The loss snapped Reading's six-game winning streak.

Left-handed starter Hoby Milner (7-6, 4.56 ERA) struggled throughout his outing and suffered the loss. Milner was charged with six runs (five earned) on eight hits and a walk in six innings.

Center fielder Aaron Altherr knocked in both runs for Reading. Altherr lifted a sacrifice fly in the first and hit a solo home run, his 12th of the season, in the fourth.

Righty Kyle Simon erased any thoughts of a comeback when he relieved Milner in the seventh. Simon was torched for seven runs (five earned) without retiring a batter.

The Fightin Phils (53-68) have an off day on Monday.

    Clearwater Threshers – Class A-Advanced

The Threshers' game against the Brevard County Manatees was postponed due to rain.

The game has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on August 22.

Clearwater (21-29 in second half. 38-80 overall) is in fifth place in the Florida State League North, 8 1/2 games back of the first-place Daytona Cubs.

The Threshers will send righty Miguel Nunez (5-7, 4.76 ERA) to the bump in the series finale on Monday.

    Lakewood BlueClaws – Class A

The BlueClaws were doubled up by the Delmarva Shorebirds, 6-3, at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood Township, N.J.

Right-handed starter Tyler Viza (3-15, 5.15 ERA) set a new franchise record and extended his league lead in losses. He surrendered two runs on nine hits while striking out seven over six innings. Viza served up a home run in the fourth.

Second baseman Andrew Pullin led the way on offense in the loss, finishing 3-for-5 with three doubles, a run scored and two RBI.

The BlueClaws (19-31 in second half, 46-73 overall) now face a three-game set on the road with the Greensboro Grasshoppers. Southpaw Yoel Mecias (2-1, 1.80 ERA) takes his turn in the rotation in the opener on Monday.

Williamsport Crosscutters – Class A-Short Season

The Crosscutters were edged by the Lowell Spinners, 6-5, at Edward A. LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Mass.

Right-handed starter Mitch Gueller (5-3, 3.68 ERA) was tagged for multiple runs in two separate innings and took the loss. Gueller gave up six runs on nine hits and a walk in 5 1/3 innings.

The Crosscutters couldn't overcome deficits of 3-0 and 6-1, even with the help of 11 hits.

First baseman Rhys Hoskins blasted a two-run home run in the seventh. It was his seventh of the season.

Left fielder Jiandido Tromp (2-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout), second baseman Derek Campbell (2-for-4 with a double and a run scored) and shortstop Emmanuel Marrero (2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI).

The teams will play the rubber match on Monday. The Crosscutters (26-30) have not announced a starting pitcher yet.
