Phillies make flurry of roster moves

The Phillies announced five roster moves on Wednesday morning, including the placement of outfielder Domonic Brown on paternity leave. Here is the full list of moves, according to the team:

· Outfielder Domonic Brown has been placed on the paternity leave list.

· Outfielder Aaron Altherr has been recalled from double-A Reading. 

· Right-hander Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez has been activated from the 60-day disabled list and optioned to double-A Reading.

  • · Right-hander Mike Adams has been transferred to the 60-day disabled list.

    · Catcher Wil Nieves will begin a rehabilitation assignment with the Gulf Coast League Phillies.

    The Phillies are currently in a four-game losing streak and are a season-high 11 games under .500, with 12 games left before the All Star break.
