Game 66: Rollins one hit away

After tying Mike Schmidt's career hit total of 2,234 with a ninth inning triple in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Chicago Cubs, shortstop Jimmy Rollins now looks to pass the Hall of Fame third baseman on the Phillies all-time hit list.

Rollins will be batting second in this afternoon's 3:05 p.m. game against Cubs righthander Edwin Jackson (4-6, 4.70) at Citizens Bank Park.

Rollins takes an eight-game hitting streak into the game. What's interesting is that he has gotten one hit in each of the eight games. During that time he is batting .267 (8 for 30).

Ben Revere returns to the starting lineup in place of Tony Gwynn Jr. Revere, who is batting .288, pinch hit for Mario Hollands in Friday's game and then replaced Gwynn in center.

Gwynn, while showing a great arm in throwing out former Phillie Nate Schierholtz at second base, is hitting just .155.

David Buchanan (1-3, 6.08) takes the mound for the Phillies.

Here is the Phillies lineup.
