Phillies game today moved up because of weather issues

Phillies will now close their series with the Mets with a 12:05 p.m. game instead of 7:05 p.m.

IF YOU slept in today and have a ticket for tonight's Phillies-Mets game, you better head over to the ballpark pronto.

The final game of the penultimate series of the 2015 Phillies season was moved from a 7 p.m. start to an early matinee - first pitch is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. - because of inclement weather that's expected to arrive in Philadelphia at night. Gates open at 11:05 a.m.

The change was made late yesterday afternoon at the direction of Major League Baseball, because the Mets are still playing for postseason seeding. Earlier in the day, the Orioles-Blue Jays game in Baltimore was also moved from tonight to a noon start.

Any fan holding a ticket for today's game may exchange it for any game on the 2016 schedule except the April 11 home opener when individual tickets go on sale in February. Ticket exchanges must be made by May 31.

Today's game will be televised on Comcast SportsNet and broadcast on WIP (94.1 FM) and WPHT (1210 AM) radio stations.
