Lehigh Valley IronPigs

Phillippe Aumont had back-to-back rough outings. He walked eight batters on May 23 but allowed just two runs in five innings. The righthander said he had trouble seeing because of the sun glare. Phillies president Pat Gillick was in attendance that day. Aumont walked six batters Thursday and allowed three runs in 32/3 innings. The former relief pitcher is 2-2 in seven starts with a 2.27 ERA. He has allowed nine earned runs in 352/3 innings. . . . Domonic Brown was batting .257 in 38 games with the IronPigs. . . . Chase d'Arnaud, a second baseman, had 13 hits in his last 10 games. He was batting .303 this season in 109 at-bats. . . . Lefthander Joely Rodriguez allowed four runs in six innings Wednesday. Rodriguez spent time this spring in major-league camp. He is 2-4 with a 5.27 ERA in 10 starts.

Reading Fightin Phils

Brodie Greene was batting .361 in 23 games since being promoted from Clearwater. The 27-year-old second baseman entered Friday with a hit in eight straight games. . . . Brock Stassi, a 25-year-old first baseman, had 17 hits and three homers in his last 10 games. His average rose to .351. He and Greene have the two highest averages in the Eastern League. Stassi also led the league in RBIs with 39 and was sixth in homers with six. . . . Aaron Altherr was batting .271 in 37 games since coming back from an ankle injury. The outfielder had four home runs and 21 RBIs. . . . Leftfielder Cam Perkins homered on consecutive days last week for his third and fourth home runs of the season. He was batting .228 with 20 RBIs in 41 games.

Clearwater Threshers

Second baseman Angelo Mora appears to be a solid middle-infield partner for shortstop J.P. Crawford. Mora was batting .330 this season after slapping 13 hits in his last 10 games before Friday. Mora, 22, is in his second year with the Threshers. He batted just .227 last season in 107 games. . . . The Phillies have given Andrew Knapp a chance to catch almost every day. Willians Astudillo, also a catcher, has been used sparingly behind the plate. Knapp, 23, was batting .273 in 191 at-bats. He entered Friday with a hit in nine of his last 11 games. . . . Brandon Leibrandt continues to impress. The righthander allowed a run in six innings on May 23. He has allowed two or fewer runs in eight of his nine starts. He has a 2.29 ERA, 52 strikeouts, and just 10 walks in 59 innings.

First baseman Rhys Hoskins hit his sixth homer of the season on Thursday night. The 22-year-old entered Friday batting .331 with 30 RBIs in 172 at-bats. His ability to hit for average has been a pleasant surprise after he batted .237 last season with Williamsport in the New York- Penn League. . . . Shortstop Malquin Canelo entered Friday with 10 hits in his last five games. He was batting .303 for the season in 197 at-bats. He was 8 for 9 in stolen-base attempts. . . . Righthanded pitcher Tyler Viza has three wins this season after finishing 3-17 last season. His ERA (3.45) is nearly two runs less than it was last year. He has 37 strikeouts and 11 walks in 47 innings. . . . Herliz Rodriguez had 12 hits and five RBIs in his last 39 at-bats. The outfielder's average rose to .262 last week.
