CURT SCHILLING is still upset that some people think he was being overly dramatic when he pitched while wearing a bloody sock during the Red Sox' win over the Yankees in Game 6 of the 2004 ALCS.

Yesterday, he tweeted a photo of what his ankle looked like back then.

"Found this in an old folder for all you ketchup dinks," he wrote, referring to those who doubt there was real blood on the sock.

It's a gruesome picture, and it made us thank God that Twitter wasn't around when Royals star George Brett had to leave Game 2 of the 1980 World Series against the Phillies because of hemorrhoids.

Return to 'The Pit'

North Catholic may be closed, but that won't stop its alumni basketball game from being played at its old gym, affectionately known as "The Pit."

Mariana Bracetti Academy, which now occupies the Torresdale Avenue site, graciously agreed to allow the Falcons to play the game at noon on Saturday.

Beforehand, there will be a plaque dedicating the gym to all former North Catholic athletes.

Admission is free. For info, call Dennis Hill (215-360-7144) or Tom Ballard (215-901-3289).
