Rosenberg outrighted to Lehigh Valley

Move leaves Phillies with 38 on 40-man roster

RIGHTHANDER B.J. Rosenberg cleared waivers yesterday and was outrighted to Triple A Lehigh Valley.

The move leaves the Phillies with 38 players on their 40-man roster. Additional space will come within the week, when eligible players file for agency following the conclusion of the World Series.

Righthanders Kyle Kendrick and Mike Adams are eligible to become free agents, along with veteran backup catcher Wil Nieves. Outfielder Grady Sizemore and righthander Jerome Williams, who both were eligible to be free agents, signed 1-year deals to return to the Phillies last week.
