Gulf Coast Phillies win league championship

Brian Gump knocked in four runs with a single and two doubles as Phillies took the Gulf Coast League championship with a 10-4 victory over the visiting Rays in the decisive Game 3 yesterday.

Matthew Payton (two hits, two runs, RBI), Christopher Duffy (three hits), Francisco Diaz (two hits, three runs) and Nerio Rios (double, triple, two runs, RBI) chipped in.

Tim Brown allowed two hits and one earned run in 7 innings. He struck out nine, walked one.
