Who's hot

PHILLIES:

Chase Utley. "The Man" has hit five home runs in this World Series and is a large reason why the Phillies only trail the Yankees, 3-2, instead of being eliminated.

YANKEES:

Johnny Damon. The outfielder has steadily improved throughout the playoffs and has hit .381 with five runs scored in the World Series. Damon has worked counts and manufactured key runs.

Who's not

PHILLIES:

Ryan Howard. Howard carried the Phillies through September, the Division Series against Colorado and the League Championship Series against the Dodgers. That hasn't been the case in the World Series as he has struggled to hit .158 and has a record 12 strikeouts.

YANKEES:

Mark Teixeira. The first baseman has just two hits in the World Series and has struck out seven times. The career .290 hitter has been picked up by Derek Jeter, Johnny Damon and Alex Rodriguez, but it will be hard to keep him silent if the Series goes seven games.

Obscure stat

The Yankees are 55-1 when holding an opponent to two runs or fewer, including 6-0 in the playoffs.

The umpires, and bad homerun call are really big factors as to why the Phills are behind!!!

Yep Johnny. If Arod wasn't on roids, that is just a lazy fly ball. Howard needs to lose the backy and beard.
