SAN FRANCISCO - Roy Oswalt pitched eight strong innings, and Miguel Tejada, Hunter Pence, and Jason Michaels hit solo home runs for Houston, which San Francisco had shut out in the two previous games. Oswalt also had a two-run single.

Giants starter Randy Johnson, who left the game with a left-shoulder strain in the fourth inning, lost his second straight decision to the Astros after winning four consecutive.
