Mets RHP Livan Hernandez (5-3, 4.04) vs. Phillies RHP Rodrigo Lopez (no record for 2009).

Mets update: The Mets are coming off a dramatic victory over the Pirates in which closer Francisco Rodriguez blew a save on a two-run home run in the ninth, but New York came back to win in the 10th ... Livan Hernandez has pitched seven innings in each of his last three starts, allowing a total of eight runs ... The Phillies have not faced Hernandez this year ... 3B David Wright leads the team with a .338 average and 20 stolen bases, but has hit just five home runs this year.

Phillies update: Lopez, 33, is making his first major league start since 2007, when he went 5-4 with a 4.42 ERA in 14 starts with Colorado before suffering an elbow injury that sidelined him for the rest of the season ... His last major league start came on July 26, 2007, when he allowed five runs in 6 2/3 innings and picked up the loss against the Dodgers ... Lopez was 5-4 with a 3.91 ERA in 13 starts at Triple A Valley. The Phillies chose to start Lopez over prospects Carlos Carrasco, Andrew Carpenter and Kyle Kendrick, citing Lopez' recent production (he had allowed just two earned runs in his last three starts) and his major league experience.
