Jayson Werth, the Phillies' hottest Payoff performer, won Betty $1,000 when he launched the second of his two home runs, a shot leading off the sixth inning of a 10-0 win over the Blue Jays in Toronto. She is the 15th individual to won Payoff cash twice. No one has won thrice, although the husband and wife team of Nick and Peggy DeLuca have combined for three cash wins.

"Yes, I heard all about it," Raimondo, 78, said when reached yesterday. "I was watching the game and listening to the radio on my earphones.

"I figured it would be Werth or [Shane] Victorino, since they are my two favorite players."

Werth would be a good bet; he has now hit seven of the last 14 Payoff Homers, dating back to last Aug. 31.

In addition to Raimondo, there were eight winners in the Daily News Home Run Payoff contest over the weekend.
