Dan Gross: Biden meets Phils heroes

DESPITE HAVING just won a pretty big contest himself, Vice President-elect Joe Biden seemed awestruck by Phillies Cole Hamels and Pat Burrell Sunday. The three were guests in Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie's suite at Lincoln Financial Field. We're told Biden introduced his wife, Jill, to Burrell, saying she thinks "Pat the Bat" is a stud. Burrell was there with wife, Michelle; Hamels, who wore an A.J. Feeley jersey, was accompanied by "Survivor" bride Heidi Strobel.

Biden, we hear, was genuinely psyched to meet the players, asked them questions about how it felt to win the World Series and said the parade must have been excellent. The Delaware pol was glad to pose for pictures with many of the other guests in the Lurie suite.

Bonaduce's smokin' radio debut

Danny Bonaduce is trying to quit smoking, again, to prepare for his Jan. 17 fight against Jose Canseco, which promoter Damon Feldman is putting on at a still-undetermined local venue.

As the Broomall-born Bonaduce worked his first morning shift yesterday at 94 WYSP, he had a pack of Marlboro reds, an asthma inhaler and Commit lozenges at hand. He also was wearing a nicotine patch and chewing nicotine gum. Bonaduce, who is joined by Metro, former Kidd Chris producer, and Shila, a Villanova grad who was raised in Scranton, says he smokes five cigarettes sitting up in bed before he gets up in the morning. His girlfriend, Amy Railsback, who moved here from Los Angeles with him, is allergic to his smoke. Bonaduce says Railsback, who was formerly a teacher, now helps him prep the show.

Chazz telling 'Tale' at Merriam

Chazz Palminteri says there will be "I Passed the Door Test" T-shirts for sale at the Merriam Theatre, where the actor performs "A Bronx Tale," through Nov. 23. The actor plays 18 characters in the one-man show based on his childhood in New York. He also wrote and starred in the 1993 film directed by Robert De Niro which made famous the "door test" - opening a car door for a girl to see if she's kind enough to reach across to the driver's side to open the door for you. Pal-minteri says he looks forward to at least one cheesesteak from Tony Luke's (Front & Oregon). For more of our video interview with Palminteri check Philly.com

later this afternoon.

Her Destiney is to bare all

You may have seen Destiney Moore

on VH1's "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels," "I Love Money," and "Charm School 2," but you probably haven't seen her strip. She makes her feature debut at the all-nude Al's Diamond Cabaret (1810 N. 5th) in Reading, Thursday to Saturday.

Out and about

* Tampa Bay Lightning owner Oren

Koules, producer of "Two and A Half Men" and the "Saw" horror series, and coach Barry Melrose dined at La Veranda (5 N. Columbus) Friday with 610 WIP's Al Morganti, who covers hockey for ESPN.

* Despite people shouting "Jessica" to a

hot blonde at the Eagles game, it wasn't Tony Romo's girlfriend, Jessica Simpson, at Lincoln Financial Field, but local model Kourtney Lee. Lee accompanied Q102's Diego Ramos to the game, where she was met with "Jessica!" a number of times throughout the game. Ramos says the pair are "good friends."

* Shane Victorino just threw a World

Series championship party for his family and friends in Las Vegas, where he lives off-season. The Flyin' Hawaiian rented out the VIP bowling suite inside Red Rock Lanes at Red Rock Resort, where Cubs outfielder Reed Johnson was among guests, reports our pal Norm Clarke in the Las Vegas Review Journal.

May made a main man

Chris May has been named CBS 3's full-time 6 and 11 p.m. co-anchor alongside Susan Barnett, the station announced yesterday. He has covered the shifts since June in addition to his regular 4 p.m. newscast, which he'll continue for now.

Philly's a 'Soul City' tonight

Soul-food lounge Ms. Tootsie's (1352 South) will be seen at 9 tonight on VH1 Soul's "Soul City" premiere, which features Patti LaBelle, who was recently interviewed by host Nelson George with LaBelle bandmates Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash. Other cities to be featured as "Soul Cities" are New Orleans, Chicago, Los Angeles and Memphis. *
