PHILLIES 4, ROYALS 1
At 11:29 p.m., Tug McGraw recorded the most famous out in Phillies history. The wacky lefthander struck out Kansas City's Willie Wilson to give the Phillies a win in Game 6 and the only world championship in the franchise's 125-year history.
MVP Mike Schmidt, who had a two-run single in the third inning to open the scoring, hit .381 over the six games, with two home runs and seven RBI.
