TALKING POINTS

What we're talking about following the Phillies' loss to the Dodgers:

-- Apparently the Dodgers think the pitch that Phillies righthander Brett Myers sailed behind Manny Ramirez in Game 2 wasn't an accident. In the top of the third last night, Los Angeles starter Hiroki Kuroda threw a pitch over Shane Victorino's helmet and the Phillies centerfielder immediately pointed, gesturing that if Kuroda wanted to throw at him he should aim for his body, not his head. And after Victorino grounded out to end the inning, both benches emptied and a brief scuffle ensued.

-- Jamie Moyer, 45, became the oldest pitcher to start an LCS game last night. He then became the oldest pitcher to get knocked out in the second inning of an LCS game. Combined with his poor start in Game 3 of the NLDS against Milwaukee, the Phillies' winningest starter in the regular season suddenly has become a concern.

-- The Phillies had serious interest in signing Japanese free agent righthander Hiroki Kuroda last winter. He ended up going to the Dodgers instead and, while he didn't have a dominant regular season, was impressive last night. He gave up just two runs on five hits in 6 innings and retired 13 straight Phillies hitters at one point.

-- The Dodgers have won all five games they've played against the Phillies at Chavez Ravine this year. The Phillies have won all six meetings at Citizens Bank Park.

-- The top three hitters in the Phillies' order - Jimmy Rollins, Shane Victorino, Chase Utley - went a combined 1-for-11 last night and managed to get only two balls out of the infield.
