TRENTON - Phil Hughes, the New York Yankees righthander on a rehabilitation assignment, allowed just two hits in four innings yesterday as the Trenton Thunder beat the Binghamton Mets, 5-1, in an Eastern League game called after 71/2 innings because of rain.

Hughes gave up only one run and struck out five.

ERIE - Jason Hill doubled in each game and drove in three runs as the Phillies swept the SeaWolves in an Eastern League doubleheader.
