AKRON, Ohio - Alan Horne pitched six strong innings to lead the Trenton Thunder past the Akron Aeros, 9-5, in the Eastern League last night.

Horne scattered five hits and allowed one run.

READING - Jason Hill reached first on catcher's interference by Mike Nickeas, sending Mike Spidale home with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh as the Phillies split an Eastern League doubleheader with the Mets.

Caleb Stewart led off the 11th with a first-pitch homer to give Binghamton the opening-game win.

Earlier, the Phillies acquired righthanded starter Carlos Carrasco (6-2) from single-A Clearwater and righthander Zack Segovia (1-9) from Ottawa.
