Utley's opposite-field home run made Horan a $1,000 winner in Daily News Home Run payoff.
"Oh, my God!" Horan shouted over the phone when she learned she was a winner. "I was watching earlier, but I just got called away since I manage the building here. That's wonderful.
"I have been playing Home Run Payoff for years. I got to go the ballpark when I won one year. Believe me, I fill out the coupons faithfully."
The Daily News has paid $2,000 to Home Run Payoff winners so far this season.
In addition to Horan's payday, six other Daily News readers won a Phillies gift pack:
Pat DiFebbo, Philadelphia
Betty Schwartz, Newtown Square
Leon Cerullo, Philadelphia
Liz Lisiewski, Philadelphia
Diego Burbano, Philadelphia
Thersa Clarkson, Philadelphia
The Daily News pays $1,000 for a home run hit in the Payoff inning and $10,000 for a grand slam.
If a batter does not hit a home run, the contestant receives a gift pack, which includes a variety of Phillies-related items.
You can hear the Home Run Payoff inning during each Phillies broadcast on WPHT (1210-AM).
Today's coupon is on Page 60. *
