Game 112: A New Look In Center
Marc Narducci
The Phillies open a weekend series against the St. Louis Cardinals, showing a new outfield look. Nate Schierholtz, a right fielder since being acquired by the San Francisco Giants, is starting in center field. Roy Halladay, coming off seven shutout innings in his last outing against the Arizona Diamondbacks, takes the mound for the Phillies.
Here is the lineup:
1. Jimmy Rollins, SS
2. Juan Pierre, LF

Ugh! A new front office look would be more effective. gentian
Should we use our tickets tonight to see this 'new look' same result OF? Does Mike Lieberthal tip the scales? (heck no) Or do we reasonably expect that it will rain and the game will stink, as usual? PhillySubsMac
I vote that you use the tickets and support your team instead of being a frontrunner. At least you can get crab fries and some hot dogs and boo Bastardo when Manuel stubbornly runs him out there in the 8th inning. jimbo jones
I think anybody with tickets for any remaining 2012 games should get a price reduction since half the lineup belongs in the minor leagues.Lets watch the ticket sales next year if there's no new quality players on the Phillies. They reduced the payroll but not the ticket prices. As always the poor fans pay the piper. RonGon

LOL @ the new front office comment. i'm literally not going to the 5 games left I have tickets for. waste of too much money on parking, beer, etc. for no entertainment. i'd rather watch the game at a bar main liner
Looking at this lineup I just had a flashback to the late 90s. guyguy4
thats right just keep f$%#kin with D Brown until you trade him PhillyPhilly
Oh, oh, I think is going to be windy tonight. Not a good idea to sit your best defensive OF and playing musical chairs. Not with Doc pitching. What the heck, is Spring Training. EL Zorro
If this new look outfield does not pay dividends, you can look to see Amaro's next plan- a Hoveround with a pitching machine and glove taped to it. AreaMan
Never should have traded Wilson Valdez. All downhill from there. He would have saved us from 20 Wigginton errors. Ruben needs to go... fins
I guess we'll see if Brown will butcher RF like he did in the past. Is Schierholtz a CFer? This OF tonight makes me nervous. I don't mind giving guys playing time but this isn't fantasy baseball. AvoidSundanceVacations
You have a wonderful player in center field tonight. I am a Giants' fan and season ticket holder until my husband retired and we moved. I am devastated that Nate was traded. Give him a chance and you will love him as we did. What he did for the Olympic Team he can do for you. Don't be such frontrunners. I waited for 52 years for the Giants. zuzu1
