With the news that catcher Carlos Ruiz is expected to miss the next 4-6 weeks with a tear in his left foot, the Phillies must deal with another key injury. Ruiz has been suffering from plantar fasciitis.

Roy Halladay (4-6 4.33), currently in the midst of a career-high typing three-game losing streak, takes the mound for tonight’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

This is an Arizona team that begins today just two games behind the first place San Francisco Giants in the suddenly tight N.L. West.
