Here's how the Phillies' minor league teams fared on Friday, Aug. 8.

Here's how the Phillies' minor league teams fared on Friday, Aug. 8:

Lehigh Valley IronPigs – Triple A

The IronPigs earned a 2-1 victory over the Toledo Mud Hens at Fifth Third Field in Toledo, Ohio.

After seven scoreless innings, the teams broke through in the eighth.

The IronPigs scored first on shortstop Freddy Galvis' two-run double.

Righty Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez would surrender a run in the bottom half of the frame, but that's all the pitching staff would allow.

Lehigh Valley pieced together a game with its bullpen as Jeremy Horst (three innings), Phillippe Aumont (two) and Tyler Knigge (two) had scoreless outings.

Right-handed closer Luis Garcia (0.75 ERA) notched his 19th save of the season.

Third baseman Maikel Franco (2-for-4) had the IronPigs' only multi-hit game.

The IronPigs (56-64) hand the ball to righty Brad Lincoln (5-8, 4.93 ERA) as the series continues Saturday.

Reading Fightin Phils – Double A

Left fielder Zach Collier hit a walk-off home run in the 10th inning to lift the Fightin Phils over the Altoona Curve, 3-2, at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, Pa.

The Fightin Phils have now won five consecutive games.

It was Collier's second homer of the game as he had a solo shot in the fifth. Collier now has eight home runs in his last seven games.

Right-handed starter Ryan O'Sullivan had a strong seven-inning outing. O'Sullivan gave up five hits, walked three and allowed two runs.

Trailing 2-1 in the ninth, center fielder Aaron Altherr hit a solo home run to send the game to extra innings.

The Fightin Phils (52-67) will send southpaw Adam Loewen (2-4, 3.45 ERA) to the mound as the series continues Saturday.

Clearwater Threshers – Class A-Advanced

The Threshers held on to beat the Daytona Cubs, 8-7, at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Fla.

Four solo home runs powered the offense in the victory, including two from shortstop J.P. Crawford (3-for-4 with a stolen base and a strikeout).

Second baseman Angelo Mora and right fielder Brian Pointer (3-for-4) also went deep.

Right-handed starter Jordan Guth didn't factor in the decision as a six-run seventh inning gave the Threshers the lead after he was removed. Guth allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and four walks while striking out six in 5 2/3 innings.

Leading 8-2 in the ninth, righty Lee Ridenhour came in and was rocked for five runs in just 2/3 innings. Fortunately righty Ulises Joaquin came to the rescue and got the final out and notched his fourth save.

The Threshers (21-27 in second half, 38-78 overall) will now face the Brevard County Manatees for a four-game series. The teams are scheduled for a doubleheader on Saturday.

Lakewood BlueClaws – Class A

The BlueClaws split a doubleheader with the Delmarva Shorebirds at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood Township, N.J.

In the first game, the BlueClaws were doubled up, 4-2.

Right-handed starter Yacksel Rios (5-1, 3.35 ERA) suffered the loss as he gave up two runs over five innings.

Righty Will Morris also gave up a pair of runs that doomed Lakewood.

Trailing 4-0 in the sixth, third baseman Mitch Walding prevented a shutout with a two-run single.

The BlueClaws recovered in the second game and romped to an 11-1 win.

Walding continued his hot hitting and powered the offense with a five-RBI game, bolstered by his grand slam in the fourth inning.

Right-handed starter Ranfi Casimiro (3-9, 5.38 ERA) benefitted from the offense and earned the win. He allowed a run on six hits while striking out seven in five innings.

The BlueClaws (19-29 in second half, 46-71 overall) continue the series on Saturday as lefty Matt Imhof (0-1, 4.15 ERA) toes the rubber.

Williamsport Crosscutters – Class A-Short Season

The Crosscutters edged the Hudson Valley Renegades, 4-3, at Dutchess Stadium in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.

First baseman Rhys Hoskins lifted the offense in the victory. He went 4-for-4 with a home run, a double, three runs scored and two RBI.

Right-handed starter Ricardo Pinto had a strong outing as he was charged with two runs (one earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings. He didn't factor in the decision.

The Crosscutters (25-29) hit the road again for a three-game set with the Lowell Spinners. Righty David Whitehead (3-3, 2.72 ERA) takes his turn in the rotation in the opener on Saturday.
