After recording a sack in last week's preseason game, Derek Barnett missed practice on Sunday. He has what coach Doug Pederson termed a "lower-body" injury, but Pederson was unconcerned.

"He'll be OK," Pederson said. "It's day-to-day."

Acting like a hockey coach, Pederson did not specify where on the lower body is injured. ESPN reported that it's a bruised thigh.

The Eagles have two practices remaining before Thursday's game against the Miami Dolphins. Both practices are against the Dolphins. Pederson indicated after last week's game that Barnett could get some more time with the first-team defense this week.

Although Barnett was absent, the Eagles had several players return to practice after missing time. Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters was back after an excused absence for personal reasons. He missed one practice and the game.

Cornerback Ron Brooks (hamstring) and tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai(knee) were both on the field after missing a week. Quarterback Nick Foles was a full participant for the first time since missing more than two weeks with elbow soreness. He returned on a limited basis last week, but should be ready to play Thursday.

Tight end Anthony Denham (calf) has been out for most of training camp and was on the field Sunday. Wide receivers Bryce Treggs (legs) and Paul Turner (shoulder) remain out, and offensive lineman Josh Andrews is still sidelined with a hand injury.
