Freedoms devour Lobsters, 25-6
Taylor Townsend leads the way with easy wins in women's singles and doubles to lead the Freedoms.
TAYLOR Townsend blanked Julia Cohen, 5-0, in women's singles, then teamed with Liezel Huber in women's doubles to shut out Cohen and Megan Moulton-Levy, 5-0, as the Freedoms (8-5) routed the visiting Boston Lobsters, 25-6, last night in World TeamTennis.
The Freedoms won every game: Frank Dancevic beat Rik de Voest, 5-3, in men's singles; Dancevic and Marcelo Melo downed de Voest and James Cerretani, 5-2, in men's doubles; and Huber and Melo beat Cerretani and Moulton-Levy, 5-1, in mixed doubles.
