Charlie didn't even have an answer to who should have covered 3rd on that embarrassing play in the in 9th.

What about Ruiz? His pitch calling has been awful in the past two games. Why did he make the throw to second with no chance get Damon? A bunch of the failure of Madson and Lidge is Ruiz' pitch calling. He takes the pitchers away from their best pitches to try and coax the hitters to swing at strikes...then the pitchers are behind in the count and have to give in. Pitiful

If Ryan Howard has even an average series, the Phils win. Without his bat, they're done.

Never ever call Damon stupid! After the stupidest defensive play in World Series history. At least Buckner just missed the grounder through his legs! What the heck do you shift on Texiara for any way? He’s 1 for 15 for goodness sake. Inexcusable..... BUT Lee will prevail!

The only person that could have covered 3rd on that play was Lidge, he was the closest. But no, he was standing there feeling sorry for himself!

I had been a big fan of Ruiz for most of the Series then began lately to really question his pitch calling (i.e. another bad Hamel's curve to Petitt after a bad curve for a double) and then he throws to second when nobody if on third. Should they have warned Raul to move in toward Third? Should Lidge have gone over instead of standing there mulling about his bad pitching? Wny the stupid shift anyway, those things almost never work. My nightmare all season was Lidge doing a Mitch Williams deja vu, he wa sheading toward it all season. Once every 20 years a Phils manager can't break a habit, goes back to his undependable closer because that's what he's always done and loses a World Series game.
