BALTIMORE - The Baltimore Blast lived up to their nickname, routing the Kixx, 19-8, in a Major Indoor Soccer League game last night.
The Kixx (0-2) had several two-point leads in the first half, gaining advantages at 2-0, 4-2, and 6-4 before Baltimore (1-1) got hot near the end of the half and built an 11-6 lead at intermission.
The Blast had multiple goals in the fourth quarter, including two three-point goals, to clinch the victory.
Ptah Myers scored twice for the Kixx, while Ryan Heinz and former Blast player Rey Martinez also scored.
The Blast's Lucio Gonzaga had a hat trick with a three-pointer and a pair of two-point scores.
Kixx goalie Sanaldo, who had eight saves, took the loss.
The Kixx next play Dec. 4, visiting the Rockford Rampage.
