TRUSTS CHOOCH IN A PINCH
Center Jamaal Jackson could be the opening day starter after all.
During an interview on last night's broadcast of the preseason finale, Jackson said that the chances of him playing on Sept. 12 against Green Bay are "99.9 percent."
Jackson said his knee "feels great" following ACL surgery last December and said "they have been working me out hard this week," in order to see whether he was ready to play.
"Hopefully, no setbacks leading up to this," he said. "And hopefully, I'll be out there with my team."
He conceded rust could be a factor, but said he thought his experience could overcome that. Jackson, with the Eagles since 2003, would be the most experienced starter on offense.

It's always interesting who doesn't play in the fourth preseason game - usually that means your roster spot is sewed up.
No Hank Baskett last night, no Trevor Laws, no Mike Bell. No shockers there, but interesting.
Corner Joselio Hanson was a starter and linebacker/defensive end Moise Fokou played deep into the game, notching eight solo tackles.

Only Jason La Canfora has the Eagles making the postseason. And all of them pick the Packers to be in the Super Bowl.

The Packers closed their exhibition season with a 17-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, a game they treated in much the same way as the Eagles treated the game against the Jets. The Pack finished 2-2.
On offense, the starters gained 548 yards in 78 snaps (7.0) and produced 38 first downs. The 13 possessions included seven touchdowns, three punts, two lost fumbles and one failed fourth-and-1 sneak. Their turnover differential was minus-1.
Defensively, the starters allowed 539 yards in 73 snaps (7.4) and 31 first downs. Their 14 possessions included seven touchdowns, one field goal, five punts and one interception.

daughters -- Allison, 28, who is an attorney in South Jersey, and Amy,
25, who works in administration for a professional baseball team.
