Eagles-Cowboys report card

RUSHING OFFENSE: While LeSean McCoy and Leonard Weaver both had some success on the ground, the Eagles couldn’t get a yard when they needed it in the fourth quarter, getting stopped for no gain on third-and-one and fourth-and-one. Grade: C

PASSING OFFENSE: The accuracy Donovan McNabb showed last week against the Giants disappeared against the Cowboys. He threw just his second and third interceptions of the season. Grade: D

RUN DEFENSE: The Eagles did a good job shutting down the Cowboys’ ground game. They held them to 3.3 yards per carry in the first three quarters. Grade: A-minus

PASS DEFENSE: The Eagles held Tony Romo without a touchdown pass for 3 quarters, but then Miles Austin beat Sheldon Brown on a double move for the game-winning TD in the fourth quarter. Grade: C

SPECIAL TEAMS: David Akers made all three of his field goal attempts, including a 52-yarder in the fourth quarter. The Eagles did a good job of neutralizing Cowboys punt returner Patrick Crayton. Grade: A-minus

OVERALL: DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin were held to just 2 receptions. Donovan McNabb had his first regular-season multiple-interception performance since the Baltimore debacle last November. Grade: C-minus

    That was a Terrible spot on 4th down bad call on TD Kickoff return and passes dropped by maclin and mcCoy...+ McNabb was off even on wide open recievers he threw ball so Low they had to fall Forward to make catch= No run after catch...RUN Leonard weaver on 3rd and 4th and short he dont danci in hole and hold ball out wide, he looks 4 blocks of smashes 4 2 or 3 yds after contact

    It was a bit too early for the Eagles to make their run and for Dallas to have their yearly late season swoon under Phillips and Romo. I still believe both will happen. Get healthy, O-line. Oh yea, it wouldn't hurt to have our linebackers healthy as well.

    We didnt make key stops on third downs today. We lost the battle in the trenches. Horrible spot by the refs. And too many penalties. When the time came too make a game-winning play we didnt make it. And stop bringing in Vick for one play. If you are going to put him in the game at least mix up the wrinkles in the wildcat.

    First four plays for Eagles set the theme for the night. Four straight pass plays against a team ranked 22nd against the pass and the first round draft pick can`t hold the ball on the only play that worked.The running game(Weaver) set the tone for last weeks victory but Reid outsmarting himself made it a secondary option starting this game.Even the Cowboys didn`t believe the tape from last week as they came out rushing the passer at the beginning of the game. Then when he finally turns to the run and we get third and 1 after some running plays and we can`t convert. Let`s see Weaver gets the ball on 3rd and 1 and we convert but the other 4 times we give the ball to McCoy who likes to dance behind the line and doesn`t follow his fullback into the line and we have to go for it on 4th down and we still don`t give it to the legit fullback we now have on the roster and everyone watching the game including the Cowboys know it. Poor game plan. Poor coaching decisions and poor execution by the players.

    Listen up all you defensive coaches n I'll tell you how to beat the eagles every time. Bring constant pressure up the A gaps straight into mcnabbs face. He will drop sraight back n stand there like his feet r cemented to the ground. That's because Reid has brain washed him into thinking he's a classic pocket QB. He plays better on the move, but he looked real slow Sunday night. Play your d-backs up close n physical, n our fast but delicate receivers won't get seperation.Play your safeties deep n take away the big play. Forget about the run plays cause Reid don't play that. Reid n Mcnabb will do the rest. His game planning n game time decisions r horrible. You have Weaver who runs hard n you don't use him in short yardage. You have all these weapons Andy n you havn't a clue how to utilize them. Mcnabb choked again. Showing no leadership or desire to win,when things don't go his way. He is to inconsistant from week to week.I rather be 2 n 14 for a couple of years, n building a dynasty then the close but so far team that we have know! We need to get younger at Coach n QB, to go with all this new talent we have.

    It's hard to get upset with McNabb for throwing two interceptions. The one from Maclin should not have been a pick. Either way, I hate to lose to Dallas, but this isn't the end of the world. Now they have some stuff to work on for next week.

    GRADE THE COACHING. give a your call on AR's abiltiy to manage the clock and change the plan during the game.

    Rushing game did much better than grade C. Rookie RB and FB getting touches for the first time need the break and the right call from officials. Defense played well except for one play; was Asante out at that time? Defense is holding fine if the offense or special team don't turn the ball over and have them defend a short field.

    I agree with daveH. Grade the coaching. Offense and defense. Grade clock management, play calling, ability to adapt to opponents gameplan, etc.
