Tuesday's S.J. roundup: Woodbury boys repeat as South Group 1 champions

The Woodbury boys’ basketball team captured its second straight South Jersey Group 1 title.

Aaron Estrada scored a team-high 20 points Tuesday as Woodbury knocked off top-seeded Glassboro, 63-52, to win its second straight South Group 1 title. The Thundering Herd used a 22-8 fourth quarter advantage to pull away. Andre Parker added 10 points for the victors. Anthony Mitchell led all scorers with 22 points for the Bulldogs, and also recorded his 1,000th career point.


Connor Dickerson recorded 21 points as Moorestown fell to Nottingham, 59-56, in overtime, in the Central Group 3 final.  Darell Johnson led Nottingham with 20 points.

Girls’ Basketall

Keegan Douglas scored seven points as Haddonfield lost to Manchester Township, 54-18, in the South Group 2 final. Destiny Adams and Kemari Reynolds each had 17 points for the victors.
