Tuesday's Pennsylvania roundup: Penn Charter beats Abington Friends in boys' basketball

Mason Williams scored 18 points as the Penn Charter boys' basketball team defeated Abington Friends, 60-46, on Tuesday.

Dylan Topaz added 12 points for the Quakers, who improved to 3-0 on the young season. The score was tied 33-33 after three quarters.

Ace Bibbs finished with 14 points for the Kangaroos.

Sam Sessoms had 22 points as Shipley got past Springside Chestnut Hill, 62-53. Khai Champion added 16 points for the Gators.

Rengy-Lewis Rinaldo netted 22 points as International Christian beat the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, 48-44. Nasir Ford had 27 points in defeat.

Josh Friday led a balanced attack with 10 points as Friends' Central took down Barrack Hebrew, 65-38.

Perkiomen School held off Haverford School, 78-66, thanks to 18 points from Nick Guadarrama.

Girls' Basketball

Mihjae Hayes recorded 14 points and five steals in Abington Friends' 44-31 victory over Penn Charter. Zaniyyah Ross-Barnes added 12 points and Paige Mott had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Corin Grady scored a game-high 15 points as Germantown Friends rolled past Cristo Rey, 40-18.

Octavia Preston notched 15 points and Mercy Career Tech defeated Perkiomen School, 53-29.
