Thursday's Pa. roundup: St. Joseph's Prep beats Frankford to earn spot in states

Kyle Thompson made five three-pointers en route to 23 points as St. Joseph's Prep qualified for states with a 55-47 win over Frankford on Thursday. Trevor Wall had 13 points for the Hawks, who will be the third seed from District 12 Class 6A in the upcoming state tournament.

Khalil Turner recorded 18 points, 17 rebounds, and five assists as Sankofa Freedom defeated Eastern University Charter, 73-64, in the District 12 Class 1A title game. Scott Spann finished with a game-high 20 points.

Semaj Mills drained a three-pointer at the buzzer to give Math, Civics and Sciences a 69-66 victory over Constitution in the District 12 Class 2A championship game. Mills ended with 16 points.

Robert Smith Jr. scored 18 points as Bishop McDevitt beat Mastery South, 71-54. Shamir Mosley and Seneca Willoughby added 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Lancers, who earned the third seed from District 12 Class 3A for the upcoming state tournament.

Jalen Watkins had 20 points for Mastery South, which was coming off a loss to Dobbins in the Public League 3A championship game.
