Saturday's S.J. roundup: Jalen Collins scores 35 points in Triton's win over Highland

Jalen Collins poured in 35 points and grabbed nine rebounds Saturday to lift the Triton boys’ basketball team over Highland, 79-71. Garrett Ouimette added 12 points while Colin Taylor had 12 points, five rebounds, and seven assists for the Mustangs.

Bryce Barndt recorded 23 points as GCIT edged Holy Cross, 58-56. Jay Ridgeway pitched in with 10 points for the Cheetahs.

Luke Castagna ended with 20 points and nine rebounds as Pitman upended Gloucester, 62-54. Rob Peterson added 15 points and five rebounds for the Panthers.

Kavon Lewis and Jawan Roane each scored 22 points as Penns Grove defeated Rancocas Valley, 73-58. Joshua Martin contributed with 11 points for the Red Devils.

Conor Regan  made six threes for a game-high 23 points as Gloucester Catholic beat West Deptford, 65-54. Dan Senlick and Kyle Pierman had 11 points apiece for the Rams.

Jaden Wallace scored 25 points in Collingswood’s 59-47 victory over Maple Shade. Zahir Smith added 12 points for the Panthers.

Colin Meintel put up 26 points as Washington Township topped Kingsway, 55-48.

Dean Noll and Daevon Robinson each had 20 points to lead Shawnee past Williamstown, 78-56.

Girls’ Basketball

Rachel Roseboro scored a game-high 18 points Saturday as the Seneca girls’ basketball team held off Highland, 41-40, in the SJIBT Tournament. Megan Glenn and Hannah Orth each had seven points for the Golden Eagles.

Keegan Douglas notched 15 points in  Haddonfield’s 37-26 defeat of Moorestown Friends in the SJIBT Tournament.

Danielle Jeffreys and Ta’Nayjah Pong combined for 25 points as Williamstown edged Absegami, 41-40.

Charlie Baldwin led a balanced Woodstown attack with 14 points in a 50-46 triumph over Vineland. Rachel Biro, Katie Dailyda, and Gracee Roberts all scored in double figures for the Wolverines.

Kylar Coughlin and Chloe Bennett had 13 and 11 points, respectively, for Gloucester in a 31-25 victory over Collingswood.

Karli Byrne finished with 14 points as Holy Cross topped New Egypt, 40-32. Victoria Sciortino added eight points for the Lancers.

Fiona Flynn led all scorers with 19 points in Cinnaminson’s 47-34 win over Clearview. Maddie Ogden contributed with 13 points for the Pirates.

Track

Delsea and Deptford boys’ track each scored 36 points and were named co-champions of the NJSIAA Group 2 Championships.

Winslow Township scored 65 points to win the girls’ NJSIAA Group 3 Championships
