Friday's South Jersey roundup: Haddonfield boys' soccer shuts out Haddon Heights

Tommy Casper’s five saves helped Haddonfield boys’ soccer shutout Haddon Heights, 3-0, on Friday. Christian Ball, Tommy Mollis and RJ Mroz each knocked in one goal in the contest.

Cherry Hill West held Timber Creek scoreless in a 3-0 victory. Joey Baldarrago and Zach Bruno each scored goals for the Lions.

Rancocas Valley fell 2-1 to Bordentown. Ethan Leacott scored one goal in the loss.

Haddon Township erupted for five goals in the first-half as the Hawks beat Overbrook, 8-0. Andrew Hough had a hat trick, and Adam Allison, Brian Burns, Jacob Chatten, Graham Dengler and Christian Vargas each scored one goal.

Vineland only mustered one goal in a 5-1 loss to Egg Harbor Township. Burak Cimen and EJ Martin each knocked in two goals, while Nick Talvacchio scored one.

Atlantic City edged out Bridgeton in a 3-0 shutout. Jonathan Murillo had four saves in the contest.

Matt D’Ottavi scored two goals in Moorestown Friend’s 2-0 victory over Burlington Township.

Wildwood edged out Gloucester County Institute of Technology, 1-0, thanks to a goal from Will Long.

Bryan Andrade, Kejsi Bocaj, Bruce Williams and Yasir Yagmurkaya each scored one goal to help Sterling beat Collingswood, 4-0. Andrade and Williams also combined for three assists in the victory.

Kevin Krall had one goal and one assist as Florence beat Medford Tech, 3-0. Mike Jones and Cory Tindall also scored.

Penns Grove lost, 5-0, to Woodstown. Chris Williams had a game-high two goals.

Eren Ozturk, Jerdel Thibou and Marquice Thornton each scored one goal to help Westampton Tech beat Burlington City, 3-2.

Joe Tesi’s hat trick provided Gloucester Catholic with enough offense to defeat Salem, 6-2. Joe Grace, Chris Liscio and Matt Tesi each scored one goal in the victory.

Girls’ Soccer

Lexi Dooley’s 13 saves helped seal a 3-1 Seneca victory over North Burlington. Jaimi Araujo and Abbey Johnson each scored goals in the win.

Paul VI scored three goals in the second-half to defeat Winslow Township, 4-0. Natalie Schooley had a game-high two goals, and Jessica Bizzoco and Ciara Minkel each knocked in one goal.

Alivia Gallardo scored one goal and Michela Auguadro had six saves to help Cherry Hill West earn a 1-0 win over Timber Creek.

Breacain McClenehan scored two goals as Rancocas Valley beat Bordentown, 6-0. Alexis Linton, Taylor Orendac, Ava Saric and Rachel Satchell each contributed one goal.

Megan Sooy’s three saves helped Millville earn a 5-0 shutout victory over Atlantic County Tech. Olivia Giordano led the Thunderbolts in scoring with two goals. Kylie Giordano, Aaniyah Street and Kate Thompson each knocked in a goal.

Gateway had four players score goals in its 5-1 victory over Paulsboro. Emma DeMaise led the way for the Gators for two goals, while Hannah Crowley, Taylor Denton and Jenni McCullough all knocked in one score.

Hammonton squeezed out a 2-1 double-overtime victory over Middle Township. Allyssa Carr and Kendall Stansbury scored goals for the Wildcats in the victory.

Field Hockey

Erica Solomen had a hat-trick to help Shawnee beat Cherokee, 5-1. Amanda Beck and Skyler Santucci each had one goal.

Kaitlyn Bowker and Brielle Oden combined for five goals as Rancocas Valley defeated North Burlington, 7-1. Alyssa Mags and Brielle Oden also chipped in goals to help the Red Devils seal a win.

Sonialys Badillo scored Vineland’s lone goal in a 6-1 loss to Ocean City. Reese Bloomstead had a game-high three goals for the Red Raiders.

Courtney Farren and Maria Triantafillou each scored one goal as Gateway defeated Holy Spirit, 2-0.
