Saturday’s South Jersey roundup: Mohamed Toure runs Pleasantville past Cedar Creek

Mohamed Toure totaled four touchdowns as Pleasantville, the Inquirer's No. 15 ranked team, defeated No. 19 Cedar Creek, 38-22, on Saturday. Toure ran in two touchdowns and added a 26-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Sahmir Jones to help Pleasantville get out to a 25-0 lead in the first quarter. He added a 13-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Jamael Bundy tossed for 345 yards and five touchdowns as No. 25 Salem picked up a 53-0 road win over Overbrook (N.J.). Ja'yon Mejias caught two touchdown passes, and Da'Shon Bundy and Kaciir Street both added touchdown grabs.

Nick Pellegrini's three touchdown passes led No. 12  Paulsboro to a 42-14 vicory over Sterling. Quamire Gantt caught a touchdown pass from Pellegrini and returned a blocked punt for a touchdown.

Liwanu Miller rushed for more than 100 yards and ran in four touchdowns as Holy Cross defeated Bishop Eustace, 50-15.

TyShawn Smith ran in two touchdowns, including an 82-yard score, to lead Woodbury to a 28-9 win over Pennsville. Smith finished the day with 10 rushes for 118 yards. Teddy Lockhart and Andre Parker also ran in touchdowns for Woodbury.

Cherry Hill East lost to Princeton, 21-14. Josh Jean-Baptiste caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Mike Wheeler, and Mitch Donovan ran in a one-yard touchdown for Cherry Hill East.

Lower Cape May defeated Haddon Township, 13-7, behind a touchdown pass and a touchdown run from quarterback Connor Eckel.

David Connelly's 22-yard field goal was the only score as Oakcrest topped Middle Township, 3-0.

Amir Stevenson and Michael Caloiaro ran in touchdowns for Northern Burlington in a 13-3 win over Hamilton West.

Michael Jenkins ran in three touchdowns as Collingswood defeated Gloucester Catholic, 36-6. Jaquan Paige added touchdown runs of 62 and 48 yards for Collingswood.

Field Hockey

Carly Barnes, Natalie Cooney, and Marissa Porrini scored as Cinnaminson defeated Maple Shade, 3-1. Abby McDonald picked up two assists.

Casey Etter notched a hat trick in Millville's 4-2 win over Egg Harbor.  Lexie Kukal scored a goal, and Jaylene Williams tallied an assist for Millville. Goalie Alyssa McIsaac made seven saves.

Moorestown defeated Bridgewater-Raritan, 7-1, behind two goals each from Kayla Frank and Madison Sever. Catherine Dare, Delaney Lawler, and Olivia Sever also scored. Goalie Lauren Pickul made 12 saves.

Kayla Mills, Olivia Sindoni, and Grace Trovato scored in Clearview's 3-1 win over Schalick. Samantha Johnson and Ali Palumbo had assists.

Bella Mortellite's two goals led Hammonton to a 2-1 victory over Williamstown.

Boys’ Soccer

Aidan Lewis scored off an assist from Matt Longshaw in the 58th minute to give Shawnee a 1-0 win over Cherokee. Goalkeepers Ethan Dannersberg and Shawn Norton combined for seven saves to record the shutout.

Evan Samalonis tallied a goal in the second half as Triton earned a 1-0 victory over Williamstown. Goalkeeper Tyler Booker made five saves to earn the shutout and improve Triton to 7-0-1.

Riverside and Palmyra ended in a 3-3 draw after two overtimes. Riverside's Hunter Martinez and Palmyra's Carter Wilburn both scored two goals. Kevin Oram scored the other goal for Riverside, while Gio Narhwold scored for Palmyra.

Ahmad Brock and Jacob Evenson scored as Egg Harbor shut out Vineland, 2-0.

Chad Yates had two goals, and Brett Guetens and Kevin Quinn added scores in Washington Township's 4-0 win over Haddonfield.

Girls’ Soccer

Riley Tiernan scored two goals and added an assist as Eastern defeated Haddonfield, 4-1. Kelli McGroarty and Cami Silvestro both chipped in one goal. Olivia Alves saved nine shots in net.

Lauren McCall scored two goals, and Hannah Creighton, Lauren Bone, and Nya Salmon tallied goals as Schalick topped Pitman, 5-1.

Madison Morgan scored twice, and Emily Cheeseman added a goal for Egg Harbor in a 3-0 win over Vineland.
