Sierra Giuliano finished with four goals help coach Meg Unger record her 300th career win Friday as the Delsea field hockey team defeated Deptford, 5-0.

Unger is in her 35th season at Delsea, and her 31st as the varsity coach Three-hundred wins was never in the coach's wildest dreams.

"It means a lot to me," she said. "It's a great feeling. I never had these types of goals in mind when I first started coaching."

A retired teacher, Unger didn't know how many wins she had coming into this season. She read an article from the beginning of last year, and knew that 300 was coming. She opted not to tell anyone in the school or her team to deflect any attention that might come her way.

"I didn't tell my team because it's not something I wanted them to focus on," Unger said.

Unger's husband, two children, and five grandchildren were in attendance to see the milestone victory.
