Boys Soccer Roundup
Tri-County League
Gabe Duec broke out of his shell and paced Barrack Hebrew in a Tri-County League soccer game Monday.
After being held scoreless in a 2-0 win over Collegium last Thursday, Duec scored all of the Cougars goals and handed Barrack a 4-2 win over host Woodlynde.
Duec, a senior, found the back of the net twice in each half. Evan Benedict collected the win in goal with a seven-save performance. Ben Ludwig and Colin Reilly found the scoring range for the Warriors.
Public League
Sultan Isakur and Guy Sipka each scored twice to boost Washington past visiting Southern, 6-0.
Chea Finboy and Pavel Surmach added a goal and an assist each for the Eagles who needed just three saves from goalie Tim McCrosson.
Bartram spread the scoring around and handled host Olney, 8-3.
Jackson Dartoe scored twice for the Maroon Wavewho also got single goals from Jefferson Banto, Bocar Diop, Ansu Dolley, Willie Geebli, Vlenedy Slueue and Biko Zoegar. Marco Morales and David Casasola combined for 10 saves for the Trojans who got goals from Damstoit Baggenson, Runyon Holt and Brice Joseph.
Gonsay Carto scored five minutes into the second of two overtime periods and gave Lincoln a 1-0 win over visiting Central. Kelvin Banieh assisted on the goal which Carto drove home from 10 yards out. Ed Tomaszewski stopped five shots for the Railsplitters and Lancers’ goalie Andrew Weslowski turned aside 10 shots.
Ahmed-Tejan Janneh and Kevin Kureta notched two goals each to boost Northeast to a 5-0 win over host Fels.
Riggers Feka also scored for the Vikings who used seven saves from Howard Lynn to earn the shutout.
Catholic Red
Brandon Beaumont, Zack Deperro, and Dan Panepresso scored goals to hand Archbishop Ryan a 3-0 win over
visiting Archbishop Carroll. Beaumont and Kevin Nelms added assists and Nick Ferry stopped two shots for the Raiders.
Catholic Blue
Austin West scored twice and Joseph Hatton notched the game-winning goal for Neumann-Goretti in a 4-2 win over host Cardinal Dougherty.
Hatton’s goal came five minutes into the second half and gave the Saints a 3-1 lead. Will Huff also scored for Neumann-Goretti. Jean Ange Sahou and Carey Thomas scored for the Cardinals who peppered Saints’ goalie John Cujdik with 20 shots.

Eric Rodriguez stopped five shots for his second shutout and lifted Conwell-Egan past host Bishop McDevitt, 3-0.
Tykel Habte and Tyler Milburn scored for the Eagles.
Tom Baker scored twice for his fifth and sixth goals of the season and sparked Archbishop Wood to a 3-0 win over visiting Kennedy-Kenrick.
Chris Wilson also scored for the Vikings who got four saves from Nick Aglira for his second shutout of the season.
Josh McManus notched a hat trick and added an assist as Lansdale Catholic downed visiting West Catholic, 4-0.
Sean Rooney also chipped in with a goal and an assist and Cameron Takemory stopped two shots to get the win in goal for the Crusaders. Jake Grogan stopped 10 shots for the Burrs.
Central League
Dennis Zonchor picked up a goal and an assist to lead Strath Haven past host Harriton, 2-0. Matt Lucci also scored for the Panthers who got 10 saves from Kelsey Beck-Cillen.
In other league games:
Garret Eldridge and Ryan Richter each scored twice to lift Conestoga past host Penncrest, 5-0.
Mike Gonzalez also scored for the Pioneers who got a combined six saves from R.J. Spargo and Clarke Fox. Ian Campbell turned aside 11 shots for the Lions.
Lawrence Sobah chipped in with a pair of goals and helped Upper Darby get past host Garnet Valley, 5-0.
Haitam Benmoussa, Emmette Kemokai and Steve McGee also scored for the Royals who got a four-save effort from Andrew Flood.
Bob Kane and Ian Prahar scored in the second half to give Haverford High a 2-0 win over visiting Springfield (Delaware County). C.J. O’Friia earned the shutout with three saves for the Fords.
Ches-Mont League
Ryan Dodds, Jake Kippel, Conor Malarney and Nick Rohlrder contributed goals to give West Chester Rustin a 4-1 win over visiting Avon Grove.
Grant Vasi got the win in goal after stopping four shots for the Golden Knights. Mark McCutcheon stopped eight shots and Mark Gallagher scored a goal for the Red Devils.
Pioneer Athletic League
Tom Timmons struck for a pair of goals and led Phoenixville past visiting Upper Perkiomen, 7-0. Also scoring for the Phantoms, who held a 5-0 halftime lead, were Efrain Govea, Jeff Potts, Jose Sandoval and Blake Tucker. Ryan Lantzy stopped three shots to earn the shutout in goal for Phoenixville while Indians’ goalie Matt Kirkpatrick turned aside 14 shots.
Nonleague
Norristown got goals from David Dillon, Donald Naseef and J.J. Natale and downed visiting Pottstown, 3-1.
The Eagles built a 2-0 lead in the first half and got an assist from Gerald Fox. Brandon Parker stopped seven shots to pick up the win in goal for Norristown, but Ramon Ochoa reached him for a second-half goal for the Trojans.
In other nonleague games:
Victor Rodriguez and Drew Gray scored on penalty kicks for St. Pius X in a 4-0 win over visiting Phil-Mont Christian.
Mike Cafarella and Steve Reilly added goals off indirect kicks for the Winged Lions.Paul Slegelmilch earned his second shutout in goal for Pius.
Rob Frisky and Ray Vandergrift each scored first-half goals to lead Penn Charter past visiting Moorestown Friends, 2-0. Michael Baron faced two shots to pick up the win in goal for the Quakers.
