Downingtown East senior tight end Cary Angeline, a four-star prospect who was recruited by top-flight programs across the country, committed Friday afternoon to play at Southern Cal. He took an unofficial visit to the school in April.
Downingtown East senior tight end Cary Angeline, a four-star prospect who was recruited by top-flight programs across the country, committed Friday afternoon to play at Southern Cal. He took an unofficial visit to the school in April.
The 6-foot-7, 230-pounder, the eighth-ranked tight end in the Class of 2016, according to 247Sports.com, chose the Trojans over Alabama, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Penn State, among others. He had 30-plus Division I scholarship offers.
Last season, while earning Inquirer first-team all-Southeastern Pennsylvania honors, Angeline caught 66 passes for 1,015 yards and 10 touchdowns.
