"I'm excited to get an opportunity to compete again in the Public League," he said. "I'm going to try to keep the team moving in a positive direction."

Lewis replaces Jason Harrigan, who last season led the Warriors to their first Public League title and the Class 3A state quarterfinals. Harrigan is now in charge at Cardinal O'Hara.

Lewis, who helped Roman Catholic win the Catholic League crown in 1992, coached AAU ball in the spring and summer with the Jersey Shore Warriors' under-16 squad.
