Citing safety concerns because of to a shortage of players and injuries, Neumann-Goretti's football team has canceled its two remaining Catholic League Blue Division contests.
The Saints (0-6, 0-4 division) were scheduled to play Cardinal O'Hara on Saturday night and Conwell-Egan on Oct. 29.
O'Hara and Conwell-Egan received an email Monday from Chalie Szydlik, N-G's athletic director, notifying the schools of the decision.
The Saints may continue their Thanksgiving Day series with neighboring Southern and face District 3's Columbia in a nonleague matchup.
N-G's originally scheduled game vs. Columbia, set for Sept. 3 in Wildwood, was scrapped because of a projected tropical storm.
